Indygo Junction: The Carpetbag Pattern

Bring out the Mary Poppins in you (or a lucky friend!) by making these very charming vintage style carpet bags. The inner tubular frame makes the bag easy to get into - it snaps open and stays in place until being 'snapped' shut so it keeps the contents secure, but best of all; it's simple to use and easy to make! These bags are really lovely, they would make a super present, and even a welcome hand-me-down! FOR THE ROOMY CARPETBAG 12"H x 15"W;

• 1/2 yard fabric for bag
• 1/2 yard fabric for lining (choose something fun - it will show on the outside)
• 1/5 yard fabric for straps
• 1/2 yard of interlining such as fusible fleece 
• Fusible fleece for straps
• 2 1/4 yards of trim - 3/4" wide
• 12" tubular frame
